Mark will do the best for you. Tell him what you need, and he will get back to you with the info.

The air destination is Burlington, Vermont, but you can also come in to Montreal/Dorval or Manchester, New Hampshire ... both three-hour rides if you like the scenery. The rail destination is Montpelier Junction, Vermont. There is only one train each day.

Getting to the Festival: Public Transportation

Mark at Northfield Travel can help you make arrangements.

  • The Vermonter arrives daily in Montpelier Junction, about two miles from the Festival site. The Vermonter is the continuing Amtrak train 55 from New York City. Information at http://www.amtrak.com/. Look for occasional specials.
  • Vermont Transit, the bus line, arrives both in downtown Montpelier a few hundred yards from the Festival site. Information at http://www.vermonttransit.com/
  • Many major airlines fly into Burlington International Airport, about 60 minutes from the Festival site. Be on the lookout for fares from the new JetBlue service from New York and points south. If you're vacationing and enjoy the drive, you can fly into Manchester, New Hampshire, with good fares on Southwest.
  • Driving is easy and scenic. There is a map below to Montpelier, the festival site.

The Ought-One Festival is directly accessible via public transportation. Volunteer drivers are also available.
